Miss Hopkins – Reception Teacher
Crown Street Primary School is pleased to announce that Miss Hopkins will be our Reception Teacher from September 2024. Miss Hopkins has taught at Gorsey Bank Primary for the last 6 years in both Reception and Year 1 and has led on various subjects including Phonics and Early Reading.
Why are you excited to be working at Crown Street Primary?
I am excited to be working at Crown Street Primary School as it is such a unique opportunity to be part of opening a brand-new school in the centre of the amazing city of Manchester! I can’t wait to get stuck in with designing the learning environments ready for the first pupils at Crown Street.
What are you excited about?
I am excited to meet my new class and to build relationships with all the pupils and their families. I am looking forward to exploring links within the local community and utilising the range of opportunities and experiences available in the city centre.
What book are you currently reading?
I am currently reading My Beautiful Voice by Joseph Coelho. It is a lovely book about a young child finding their voice through sharing the inspirational stories and experiences of others.
What is your favourite book?
My favourite book is The Lion Inside by Rachel Bright. It is an uplifting tale about a mouse and a lion who become unlikely friends. The moral of the story is that you are never too small to be courageous and to make a difference.
